We did a day trip to pammukale. 5 hour bus ride (each way) was brutal but well worth it. We were only able to spend 3 hours there and then it was time to go back. Our guide first took us through the ancient ruins of the city of Heirapolis which was believed to be established around 200 bc. It's way old! I LOVED the profusion of wildflowers throughout. Only wished we had more time to just enjoy the scenery. Our guide was a retired professor and very knowledgeable. He began almost every sentence with "ladies and gentleman". I have to admit I hardly heard anything he said, I was too distracted taking pics of the scenery!
